Ways To Live Forever is a live action film (from the novel with the same title by Sally Nicholls) that includes some animated short scenes that provide some magic to the dramatic script.

These were made joining illustrations and CGI animation and FX. I worked together with MIOPIA FX’s great team to produce them.

I was in charge of the whole art of these scenes: proposing the camera work, concept art, colour concept and creating the illustrations that would get included and animated with CGI to make them look as if they were paper cut outs. Illustrations where made in many layers, each containing the complete elements in order to work with them separately in 3D.
